@elliek The heat is not as high here at 5000' as many places lower or farther west. Still cool enough overnight to open windows to cool the house for the day. (I don't have one of those fancy systems with a switch between heating and cooling.)
Probably worse is the drought. For the second time this year I had to run the irrigation pump for days to keep the trees and shrubs around the house alive.
Last measurable precipitation here was 0.15" on January 25th; total for the year is 0.36"!
