Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen faced a sharp electoral setback Tuesday as her Social Democrats slid toward their worst result in more than a century.

Despite broad international backing for her firm stance toward Washington over Greenland, domestic concerns over migration and the cost of living dominated the vote.
