@TinJar What happens is that not only the fossil fuel companies but also Elon Musk become even wealthier. Tesla/Musk are picking up the pieces after the initial shock to the renewable energy sector in 2025.

The huge customer base in the northeast corridor will be held over a barrel since their major resource (offshore wind) is being blocked by Trump. The regime just threw $1B at Total Inc. to abandon a NE wind project and return to fossil gas in Texas.

Possible - of course. I was referring mostly to the rest of the world - esp. Asia, Africa, South America - which hopefully switches to #solar #wind #batteries #EV faster.

#US is right now behaving even worse than a petro-state. It is not merely pushing #oil #gas on others, but consuming it voraciously. Even the #MiddleEast petrostates are investing in #solar and #batteries so that they could sell more #oil #gas to the rest of the world. But despite the federal govt. in the US - the growth in #solar #wind #batteries continues (as per recent data).
