"Nintendo has cut its planned Switch 2 output by 33% this quarter, dropping the planned six million units down to four million. This cut is planned to continue into April, it is claimed.

This decision is apparently "driven by slower demand from consumers" over the holiday period, Bloomberg's sources state, and not the wider economic factors affecting worldwide hardware production, like rising component prices."

Nintendo's Apparently Cutting US Switch 2 Output After Lower Than Expected Holiday Sales

Nintendo Life

@TresFluke
I think I'm going to die mad that my Switch has that controller drift issue that Nintendo doesn't seem to care about correcting. Every Switch until the end of time (and maybe any Nintendo system) will ignite this rage in me.

So, it's safe to say I can see why sales aren't very high.

@Cassandra_Complex I haven't experienced the drift issue, myself. But I HAVE considered buying an arcade controller because thumb sticks just aren't doing it for me.
@TresFluke
Twice now for me. I'm tired of replacing them and unsure if knockoffs that are better made will work or not though.
@Cassandra_Complex I'm sorry to hear that. I've heard generally positive feedback for the HORI controllers.
@TresFluke
I looked at the prices and continue my rampage at Nintendo. But I appreciate your suggestions for when I have money again.

@Cassandra_Complex YOU LOOKED AT THE PRICES?!? YOU NEVER LOOK AT THE---

Yeah, I hear ya. They're overpriced.

@TresFluke
I can't help it, the economy made me do it. But seriously, I ask myself regularly whether it's worth just selling it to someone else who wants to spend $40 every 6 months - 1 year to keep it running.

Should I mourn my Stardew Valley farm or not?

@Cassandra_Complex OK, I've never played SV. Can you not play the game by tapping on the screen? It's not like there's a ton of movement, right?
@TresFluke
There's a ton of movement and it's not touchscreen on the Switch. Functionality of both controllers are required and I die in the mines when they malfunction.
@Cassandra_Complex Ah, I see. Thank you.
