Today, for many reasons, was a good day. Best of all was that I saw a blue-tailed skink in the wild and managed to photograph it before it ran off.

@cetan can't believe we get to share a planet with these longbois.
@youseeatortoise it was amazing. The blue is so striking and they are lightning fast!
@cetan @loren I meanโ€ฆwhy?! Why are they like that?
@michaelgemar @loren I like to think of them as dance club-oriented. ๐Ÿ˜†
@michaelgemar @cetan @loren I mean, wouldnโ€™t YOU be if you could?!

Taste the rainbow! ๐ŸŒˆ ๐ŸฆŽ

[Note: Do not under any circumstances try to taste the rainbow.]

@cetan good work: they're *fast*
@Retreival9096 so fast that I didn't even perceive its movement. It was simply there and then not there. Amazing!

@cetan
"Head over heels
Why should I go?
Can't stop myself,
Out of control.
Head over heels,
No time to think.
Seems like the the whole world's
Out of skinks..."

@the_turtle I hope we're not out of them! They're too cool! ๐Ÿ˜
@cetan
"The pony run, he jump, he pitch,
He threw my massa inna ditch.
He died, and the jury wondered why,
The verdict was, 'the blue-tailed skink!'
Jimmy cracked corn, and I don't care..."
@cetan ah yes, the wild color temperature gradient in its natural habitat
