Znalazłem w szafie stary tablet Amazon Fire HD 8 - ma wieki, nawet działa, tylko że operuje na fatalnym i ograniczonym Fire OS.

Poszukałem pobieżnie porad i widzę, że od 8 generacji ludzie przerzucają je na Lineage OS - tylko ja mam w ręku 7 generację. Chciałbym go przerzucić na działający OS, ale nie chcę zrobić z niego cegły, a sam nie bardzo się znam - czy polecacie jakieś konwersje, czy lepiej nie próbować? Czy Lineage może zadziałać?

I looked a little and found that people convert 8th generations & newer ones to Lineage OS, but I've got 7th gen.

I'd like to move it to working OS, but don't want to brick it & have limited knowledge. Would you recommend any conversions or not risk it? Or should Lineage work?

@traecer I found it when moving closet and decided I can check if it works. For now I've installed Play store to be able to get any apps for it, since Amazon appstore apparently gave up. If it was 8th gen I would already try Lineage, but it being 7th gen... Not sure if I want to trade hardly working for parts donor.
