@amadeus It's not in my price range, but it's certainly good news for owners of such devices. 😁
@markus I used to have a bunch of UA devices that I had to sell when I switched to Linux. For people in a similar situation, this is a fantastic news, I think. I would still never lock myself into such a closed ecosystem anymore.
@amadeus All of UA's gear is great, but personally, I prefer to use open-source software and hardware for my personal projects. At the studio run by a friend of mine, they use Pro Tools along with the corresponding hardware. Honestly, it's a nightmare because it costs way too much money.
@markus Yeah, I prefer things that are open by design as well. Sure, all those systems have their advantages, but yeah, I agree with you—I don’t want to invest in something like that.
