@aproposnix Got curious, so had to check what the average cost of living is. According to Numbeo "the estimated monthly costs for a single person are 771.2€ (18,860.0Kč), excluding rent".
Rent for "one-room apartment in the center is 14.000 CZK (560 EUR), in the countryside – 11.000 (440 EUR)" (source: Mezinárodní Svaz Mládeže z.s.).
Net average wage is 1679€ (wikipedia)

So they gave 1 time lump sum for about 4-6 months of living expenses.

@Mimesatwork there's no way one could live in the center of Prague on 19k for 4-6 months. Rent is outrageous. If they found housing in Prague, it was likely subsidized somehow.

edit: just realized I misunderstood you. You're right. Its about 4 months. But rent really is crazy here
