streamer's going on about whether X11 or Wayland is better for gaming, I've got the answer right here:

Windows. It's Windows.

Frankly, no-one should really be thinking about display servers at all and that's why Windows is better for the desktop than Linux lol
@Flaky you're really looking to get blocked on Fedi I see
@ulveon Moreso Bluesky, if I wanted to get blocked on fedi I'd shove it in the Linux hashtag lol

@Flaky
Hate the fact that this is true. And when you go on about how "Oh but I wanna play X game that has anticheat in it but it doesnt work in linux!" The Linux Elitists come in and say how you shouldnt even be playing X game in the first place cus anticheat is spyware and their is probably another game that is better.

But what about I have friends that play such a game, and they wanna play that game in particular and I wanna play with my friends?

I dont like AC either as much as the next guy but im gonna wanna play stuff with my friends and have fun with my friends lol.

@Apolly0n Same. My post was mainly about Linux users having to actually think about what display server they're using to make sure they'll get the best performance (or compatibility, even) being a huge plus for Windows, where you don't have to think about it, well, at all.

Funnily enough, the fractional scaling stuff I mentioned a little while ago plays into this as well since X11 has better compatibility but good luck if you have a 27-inch 4K display.
