Eurovision Asia would be cool but I don't think I could watch it live if it's on during my sleep schedule.
Even Eurovision Europe pushes it.

fedi evangelists will be blocked on sight, i hate activitypub and i don't give a fuck about decentralisation when activitypub does it in the worst ways.

Anyone here know any good places to discover metal I might like? Apple Music used to be this but I'm likely going to pull away from it since it's not cross-platform and the Windows app is pretty bad.
I've gotten into atmoblack lately thanks to a friend, but I want to discover metal I like in my own terms. I know there's Spotify artist/song radios and Rate Your Music, the latter I really like since its algorithm is very obviously and aggressively human-curated. Just wanna know if there's anywhere else I can look towards. Maybe Metal-Archives but IDK if I'd fit in there.
first huw now scott mills, combined with the BAFTA incident and eurovision basically slamming their penis in the car door every chance they get, the BBC is not doing great are they
i also feel like look mum no computer was lightning in a bottle given how legitimately toxic eurovision is to the british music industry - not in terms of right-wing shitrags harassing them but the brand genuinely being toxic due to the gaza stuff.
if you're wondering... here's MusicBee: https://getmusicbee.com
It does work in WINE but not fully. And WINE literally broke a plugin I wanted to use. 🙃
Spotify also has bonus points in which it's also on Linux, including lossless if you care.
Given how ASS music library players on Linux are (and I've tooted my doot about that a lot of times) to the point that my pet project is essentially experimenting with creating a Great Value MusicBee in C# which, yes .NET works really well in Linux now... I'm glad Spotify is on Linux.
ngl using Spotify on desktop made me realise just how bad the Apple Music app on Windows really is.
And I think a good chunk of it is Microsoft's fault! WinUI is really sluggish across the board due to the animations. Meanwhile Apple themselves is rendering transparent glass-like blobs and it feels smooth on hardware less powerful.

awesome to see KDE get some love, by far the best thing on Linux
