Sorry for the super personal post on here, but this is the only way I can reach some of you.

Last week, after consultation with two different neurosurgeons, I had a spinal procedure done on my neck. (It was a C5/C6 and C6/C7 discectomy with fusion, for you crazy people who want to google it)

The procedure went well and I’m home-bound recovering for the next six weeks in this sweet looking collar. (And yes, i intentionally picked the Vader shirt for going home from the hospital)

@rdrhyne Ooof. Get well soon!

Also the bottom part of that collar look like Mater’s teeth (from Cars), so I’m just going to call you Mater from now on.

@ccgus oh my god, it does. I can’t unsee that now. Should’ve asked if they had the collar in a “rust” color.
@rdrhyne hope you have a speedy recovery. Neck and back injuries are the absolute worst.
@rdrhyne I’m so sorry Rob. I hope your recovery is quick and pain-free.
@rdrhyne Glad to hear it went well, and best wishes for a quick recovery!!
@rdrhyne my wife had a very similar surgery but on C4/C5 and C5/C6 a month ago. She’s recovering well and I hope you do too.
@rdrhyne Woof. Here's to a speedy recovery!

@rdrhyne Get well soon!

(I had a C1-C7 Laminectomy in November, and the biggest pain was the home bound recovery. Time heals, so be patient!)

@rdrhyne Get well soon! I hope this is one of those procedures where we all think "It's amazing what they can do these days."
@rdrhyne oh goodness! I hope you have a speedy recovery. Just be glad you didn’t need a cone ;-)
@rdrhyne hope you have a swift recovery.
@rdrhyne holy shit, rob! Hope it goes well for you… best of luck. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help out.
@rdrhyne glad to hear it went well, Rob!
