Wow! Just realized I have been on hear-me.social for a whole month, as of today. #Thanks for putting up with a #newcomer. I still have so much to learn! I don't miss #meta at all, although I hope my longtime friends there are ok.

I have tried to talk up the #fediverse and #decentralized #socialmedia to #friends, associates, and just anyone who will listen. No joy yet.

Me too. I left behind people on Meta. Only 1 opened a Fediverse account as far as I can tell. I really too wish more would follow and break away from Meta and X.

@Jerry Thanks! I was hoping the recent #news regarding #meta in the #court cases would maybe bring a few new #friends to #Mastodon, and I have openly advocated for the #fediverse and even shared #links and #articles that I have found here. Does anyone have any further #advice about discussing #decentralized #socialmedia with people? I think most are reluctant to abandon the convenience that Meta and #X provide. I know a couple of #women who have tried #Substack but they seem intimidated by the Fediverse. It's not that scary once you cross the threshold! I keep recommending hear-me.social as a good place to start!
