It's been a strange spring for me: enjoying the return of light, colour & life (& photographing it, of course), coloured by the distress of my diagnosis & impending surgery (tomorrow).

Posted a few thoughts and pics on my old blog (remember those? yes, some of us still like to keep one.)

Promising myself I will be fit by the time the cherry blossoms bloom in the Meadows.

Spring blooms, but brings bad news | The W o o l a m a l o o Gazette

@LordWoolamaloo Beautiful colours. Will be thinking of you tomorrow (and today in fact). Hope all goes well.
@LordWoolamaloo Wishing you all the best for the op and recovery. Keeping an image of spring blossoms in your mind sounds like a positive move.

@LordWoolamaloo

Adding my thoughts to all the others -

Hope all goes smoothly tomorrow

@LordWoolamaloo you're in good hands, and good company here. I can't wait to see your blossom shots already :)
@LordWoolamaloo Wishing you the very best outcome. I hope things get better and better from here.
@LordWoolamaloo I hope everything goes smoothly and that the surgery is a complete success.

@LordWoolamaloo I wish you all the best, and am sure many on Mastodon do too. I notice that you have worried more about your dad than yourself during this time. I think that bodes well for you both (if fate has anything to do with it).

Look forward to more of your photos soon.

@abelsey thanks, Andy, appreciated
@LordWoolamaloo That's a beautiful blog, and it's good that you are staying positive despite the news. All the best for tomorrow. ๐Ÿคž
@LordWoolamaloo I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the surgery will go well and fix everything for good๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™
@LordWoolamaloo I wish you all very best, swift and complete recoveryโค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน Your Edinburgh/Scotland photos have been helping me connected to my hometown (which means so much to me especially while going through my own darker times) and Iโ€™m looking forward to seeing more. Please take very good care.
@LordWoolamaloo Best wishes for a successful result. I had prostate cancer back in 2011, caught just in time.
