Hey Alpine Linux people, how hard is it to use Wayland on Alpine? Does that setup-desktop script opt for Wayland if you choose e.g. KDE?

@thomholwerda Do "setup-desktop" and select plasma and it does all the things. It defaults to installing Wayland for Plasma.

IIRC SDDM requires X11 so it gets installed as well.

@RootMoose Awesome, that was exactly what I was wondering! I think I'm going to give Alpine a go once my laptop has been repaired.

@thomholwerda Just keep in mind there is no proprietary NVIDIA support in Alpine. There are no drivers. Nouveau does work I think.

If you have Intel or AMD GPUs you are golden.
