A very fun and twisty psychological thriller that goes some dark places you wouldn't necessarily expect, Paranoiac is an overlooked film in Hammer's earlier era. Loosely adapted from the crime novel Brat Farrar, this flick benefits from an unhinged performance by Oliver Reed as the unstable and alcoholic head of an orphaned household whose plans to inherit the family wealth are thrown out of whack when long-thought dead older brother Tony (a perfectly acceptable Alexander Davion) comes back.
