This is the most affirming thing I've read in years

Workers who fall for ‘corporate bullshit’ may be worse at their jobs, study finds

New study finds that employees impressed by corporate speak may be least equipped to make effective decisions

The Guardian
@keira_reckons "confusing" is a weird choice of word when they're talking about things that are obviously bollocks

@keira_reckons "Being wowed by bullshit isn’t all bad. In another study, those who were susceptible to corporate bullshit rated their supervisors as more charismatic and “visionary”, and were more likely to be inspired by their company’s mission statement and to experience job satisfaction."

... THAT IS VERY BAD THOUGH WAGGH

@sinvega @keira_reckons

Hard agree with you.

Drones susceptible to authoritarianism might, themselves, be content but that doesn't make it not bad. It's definitely a net bad when others suffer and their response is likely to be "seems fine to me" while they get busy licking those boots.

@jrdepriest exactly. It's the worst possible outcome. They make everything terrible but they're never going to leave because they're too fucking gullible to understand that it's terrible, and everyone else is driven out

It's honestly bleak as hell

@sinvega @jrdepriest They are the B ark. Just walk away.
@Ooze but that's the exact problem! They wind up in everything 😢
@sinvega Best thing for an organisation once it gets to that level. Time for a new start.
