As a writer, I believe genAI removes the *joy* from creating art and strangles the introspection and growth it provides.

American anticommunism is so reflexive we don't have the words to talk about fascism without spewing anticommunism, despite fighting a literal world war against the Nazis. It's incredible.
So, um. Heads up. If you're defending AI in my mentions, I reserve my right to not be terribly polite in my replies.
I won't harass or otherwise be a *complete* dick, but I've far more than hit my patience with that bullshit.
The slight meta here is that many AI opponents, myself included, have extended a lot of unearned grace over the years. There's a proactive duty to inform yourself about shit, and while I have a lot of grace (and am thankful for the grace others extend me) about not knowing shit, that's pretty well passed now when it comes to AI.
We've all had lots and lots of time to learn what LLMs are, why they don't actually work, what harms they cause, and who profits from the lie that they work.

Her post was about efforts to release documents concerning the attempted assassination of Trump last July.
But the folks commenting in the replies had a completely different investigation in mind – the one into Jeffrey Epstein.
And they weren't buying it. 😃😃😃😃😃
