I wouldn’t say I’m a good guitarist, but playing guitar does make me feel good.

@dgar

How does it make the guitar feel?

@dgar that is the only reason one should play.

@alexmorse @dgar Just saw the other day a comment on a #PianoWithNate video that said "How can you say you truly love music if you do not humble yourself and take the effort to understand it properly?"

It was a video where Nate says "If you're in your 40s and want to play the piano, learning to read sheet music from scratch is probably not going to work for you."

Sure, let's do music properly and be able to play Für Elise by the time I'm 70, or maybe we can have some fun with Elton John now.

@dgar Do you make the guitar fret? 😉

Seriously, it's wonderful playing it gives you a sense of joy.

@dgar this is actually subversive, I think. I stopped playing piano immediately after winning a competition because I felt that mysterious communication was unsuccessful. I'm coming back to it a decade later but I wish the circumstances had always allowed me to do it for myself
@dgar I know my limitations, but when I hear someone strumming D chords at an open mike…
@dgar That's all that matters. 🏆

@dgar

anyway, here's wonder wall...

@benroyce
I said “Maybe”!

@dgar

bonus is, once you have wonder wall under your belt, then you also have boulevard of broken dreams

@dgar When I stop playing the guitar it makes other people feel good😆
@dgar
A lot of people tell me I'm a good guitarist. Not a one of those people is better than me, but I know a whole lot of people that are better than me.
