🚌⚡🇪🇺 Solaris is marking its 30th anniversary, charting its rise from a small #Polish bus maker in 1996 to a leading #European manufacturer focused on zero-emission #transport. Founded by Krzysztof Olszewski, the company produced 56 vehicles in its first year; it has since delivered around 28,000 buses and trolleybuses to nearly 900 cities in 33 countries. Expansion accelerated in the early 2000s, alongside advances in alternative propulsion, including CNG, hybrid and electric systems. The launch of the Urbino range and later electric and hydrogen models cemented its position in sustainable mobility. Since joining the #CAF Group in 2018, Solaris has grown internationally and invested in infrastructure. Today, zero- and low-emission vehicles account for most of its sales, with electric and hydrogen technologies central to its strategy.
