Spaceways23/03/2026 - Under the bridge.
I saw a lovely grey heron on the way to the shop at lunchtime. Easy to miss as they stand so still and silent by the burn. I'm always taken with their size. 6ft wingspan. A big bird! Magic to see.

Although if we're being hyper-specific they are dinosaurs and what we think of as flying dinosaurs are actually lizards. Because science.

@DigitalDruid That's a lovely photo. I do like herons, I'd probably think different if I was a fish! The Denburn looks nice there. You got me looking up the course of the Denburn. Can’t believe we did away with Mutton Brae! I’d love that as an address.
It was at Rubislaw hill where I saw this heron. Always looked out for it since but never seen again. It froze and I froze when we saw each other so I was lucky to get pic.

@DigitalDruid Anything in Council tax band: H is way way out of my price league. I didn't even know the bands went that far! There's some big houses round that way.
