We travel the Spaceways.
Snaps of the stuff we see along the way.

My posts have loads of edits as I can't spell for toffee and I worry too much about the rubbish I write!

26/03/2026 - I woke up to see snow outside this morning. This weather is all over the place at the moment. It was T-shirt weather only a few days back going up a big hill.
Blossom time!
The cherry plum is still flowering, the cherry is peak blossom and the blackthorn is joining in too. The prunus are having their moment in the sun.
The bumble bees are enjoying the flowers even in this wind today.

I wrote some words and put them on the internet, and I plan to do it more. I'm sorry.

If I was doing something that was directly contributing to widespread forced child labour, I wouldn't do the thing anymore. But I supposed that is too easy of a moral judgement to make when I'm not getting paid upwards of USD 12 million per year like former Nestle CEO Mark Schneider was in 2020.

23/03/2026 - Under the bridge.

I saw a lovely grey heron on the way to the shop at lunchtime. Easy to miss as they stand so still and silent by the burn. I'm always taken with their size. 6ft wingspan. A big bird! Magic to see.

Managed to get a much better picture of the Firecrest today 😃

22/03/2026 - Evening walk up Cairn William in Aberdeenshire. A nice way to end the weekend. Bit chilly but a few stars so that was nice. Quiet on the hill. The night is still easy to say hello to at the moment, next week with the clocks going forward it gets a bit tricky. Night was 20:40, next Sunday 22:01.

Always loved this pre-leafed tree structure in passing at this time of year that nestles between two Victorian houses. Like a prog rock osprey’s nest always comes to mind. Must be cosey between the chimneys, regardless of prog rock loving ospreys or not.

I don’t know my trees so any input to quash this osprey prog rock obsession appreciated (but maybe politely rejected).

21/03/2026 - Evening walk up Hill of Fare. I was a bit sleepy round teatime but still wanted out after. The fresh air woke me up a little. Cloudy so no stars tonight. Still the dark was nice.

21/03/2026 - A short morning walk turned into a 5 hr stroll on the back roads. The sunshine felt too good to go back home. Everything looked so nice. Birds singing, butterflies about. Flowers starting to wake up. We watched a couple of brown hares boxing which was pretty magic. A good walk with coffee and cake halfway round.
