German tourist sues New York City taqueria over salsa so spicy ‘it was a very big shock physically and mentally’

Faycal Manz sought $100,000 in damages after claiming that Los Tacos No.1 had failed to warn him about the spiciness of its green salsa

The Independent
@caitp now I want tacos with green salsa 🤤
@caitp Seems like he read about how litigious American society is, and wanted his holiday to be self-funded.
@caitp “There are certain sections of New York, Major, that I wouldn't advise you to try to invade.”
@caitp incredible review, will definitely go next time i'm in new york

@caitp And people claim Americans are lawsuit-happy!

Oh, he had two other lawsuits thrown out.

He sued Walmart because he couldn’t connect to their free WiFi.

And he sued the NYPD for $10 million because “he called 911 on an assault he _witnessed_ and they refused to send an officer, causing him PTSD.”

Oh, and he’s a law student. Methinks he should immediately be flunked out of law school.

@caitp He filed three separate frivolous (or at best misguided) lawsuits over one vacation. That kind of repeated foot in mouth behavior is unlikely to end once he returns home. I hope he knocks it off, for his sake.

@caitp the rest of the article is also wild. Headline should be "Getman law student tries to sue everyone, and it got too spicy for him!"

On behalf of Germany, we are truly sorry.

@caitp hatch chilies FTW!
