For the benefit of @rdm and @leece who I mentioned #JournalWithWitch to in a nice chat a little while ago, here’s the launch page for it on CrunchyRoll:
Scrolling down gets the full synopsis: Reclusive novelist Makio Koudai has always preferred the company of books-but when her sister and brother-in-law pass way, Makio unexpectedly becomes the guardian of her 15-year-old niece, Asa Takumi. As they navigate grief, clashing personalities, and challenges of living together, the two slowly open their hearts to each other, discovering warmth, understanding, and the meaning of family. #JournalWithWitch
@arcadiagt5 This is my favorite anime this season, that's not Frieren.
Such a beautiful exploration of grief.

@invadersil Yeah, it’s fabulous. OK, granted, I’m much more likely to react with OOF rather than Chortle, but it’s such a well written series.

And so understanding of Neurodivergence, which is also really rare in visual media.

@invadersil Also, amused by the “favourite that’s not Frieren”. I’m kind of wondering how many OTHER people that’s true for. :)
@arcadiagt5 Frieren has my top spot because of it's own exploration of grief and music and animation. If it wasn't airing this season, Journal would easily be my top.
