@timrichards Reminds me of articles I've seen in the past (tho not recently) about how many transit systems were spending more on fare collection and enforcement than they actually took in, making the case for fareless transit.
@michaeljoseph I'm not sure that's ever the case, and I'd be hesitant to make public transport free in case it made governments feel it has no value. But policing 50c fares seems a bit petty.
