Can anyone recommend a trustworthy, ethical site to order dried mushrooms? I'm not looking for anything exotic, just something shelf-stable for when I realize this meal needs a few mushrooms.
(Is there a hashtag for this sort of request? Anyhooo, feel free to boost if you think your followers might have suggestions.)

You could grow your own shiitakes from a kit and dry them yourself.

I used to buy them from the Asian market but I worried about preservatives our local froofroo grocery store has preservative free dried shiitakes. I bought those for years.

We grow many mushrooms on logs or in sawdust and dry them ourselves now.
