I have some extra work to do so while I am baking a baguette for #monsterdon dinner I'm not posting about it
but there is #baking going on
just, you know. NO PHOTOS
honestly it's just as well I have some extra work this weekend, I wasn't able to find the golden syrup for the ginger cake - or rather, I was able to find where I'd seen it but I didn't get down to the closest shop which is like eight miles away. I will before next weekend tho'.
okay so this was 1/4 cup water heated 90 seconds in microwave and I do not think it was hot enough because I didn’t get the giant steam poof I wanted. there was some steam just not enough
then baking at 450F for 15 minutes. there’s some tearing in the crust which is a good sign. we’ll see how it is at dinner tho’
