This is my first new instance in over three years! And I'm happy to be here!

I'm interested in, and often post about, cycling (especially urban utility cycling), what I do with vegetables from our garden (including lactofermentation), craft beer, Canadian politics (especially Ontario politics), and stuff local to me here in Waterloo Region. (I'll use hashtags.)

In my day job I work on @CyclingGuide and love it.

I post about Canadian politics. As of just weeks ago, I’m a member of the NDP. And I’ll be posting supportive things about the ideas and actions being proposed by @avilewis and his team. I’ve had it with our neo-liberal policies here in Canada, and capitalism in general.

I’m won’t CW these posts, as I believe that change can only come about when more folks know about the possibilities. But I *will* be using hashtags.

Govern yourselves accordingly. And filter my posts if needed 😀❤️

And I'm on TeamHeather. I attended their final leadership forum a couple of weeks ago, and it was delightful to see how respectful and supportive all of the candidates were of each other, constantly stressing that they are on the same team. All of the candidates are proudly left-wing, and their agendas don't differ greatly. Their backgrounds and perspectives are all unique, and I hope that they stay connected with the party, regardless of the outcome of the leadership race.
