@mediocratese

Thank you for the beautiful photo of the bridge and duck pond at Beacon Hill Park.

If you moved your camera slightly to the left, that is where my distracted son rode his trike straight into the pond. Knowing they are aggressive, he had his head turned to the side watching a couple swans walking nearby, and did not hear me telling him to stop. Poor kid, he was unhurt except for his pride--and was so mad. 🤭

@SnowyCA
No doubt an important learning moment. 😬
@mediocratese
Indeed it was. Of course I felt sorry for him, but later we had a good laugh about it.

Here are a couple of shots of Ogden Point for you. Cheers.

@mediocratese
It's really changed! We had to safety rails, and it was simply cement and tons of boulders. ..no paint (except white splashes left by sea gulls flying overhead) It looks as if they rebuilt the entire breakwater.

Thank you so much 🥰 I really enjoyed your photos.

@SnowyCA It is so much more enjoyable with the handrails! The only problem now is disrespectful joggers brushing by.

@mediocratese
I can imagine it would feel safer, especially for silly folk like me who enjoyed a walk during the worst of storms, at least with handrails there's less chance of being blown off the wet walkway by gale force winds🌬️ 💨 💦

What's with the entitled joggers?!! How rude to think they own the pathway.
The breakwater does look much narrower than before, it it or is my memory incorrect.?

@SnowyCA
Same width just cozier with the rails. In the old days storm strolling out there was not for the faint of heart. 😳
@mediocratese
The same, eh. Joggers need to learn manners!
Indeed it wasn't for scaredy-cats.
I had a friend who was a storm-warning, lightning-dodging windsurfer! Now that was crazy!
@SnowyCA The lighthouse paint must be inches thicker since you were here. 😬

@mediocratese I believe you!

pssst, don't tell anyone but that's what's keeping it upright. 😂
