I passed this earlier today and thought it would make an interesting photo as petrol is now almost €2.00 per litre.

The blue sign must date from the days when petrol was well below €1.00 per litre and probably actually from when it was well below £1.00 per litre.

@triploidtree @helvick fab photo. I recall when the price went so high, you had to double the price shown on the pump. Not sure if that was here or US. I know they made that great clacking sound as the numbers turned. Jeez, so dating myself with this one!

@lumendecens @helvick oh that'd melt my head. I think pump technology has kept up with prices handy enough since moving to the euro. too handy maybe...
