How do we know Zack Polanski is gaining traction for the Green Party of England & Wales?

Because not only are political satire shows trying to find ways to ridicule him, the Right press is no longer ignoring him but actively trying to smear & ridicule him.

While in many ways I was glad Caroline Lucas didn't have to put up with this so much (though she hardly escaped entirely), in the mixed up world of UK politics, targeting Polanski is a back-handed compliment from power!

@ChrisMayLA6 complement or compliment? (Sorry to do this sort of thing twice in a month)
@mjr @ChrisMayLA6 Also the “Right press” might be missing “leaning” or “wing” 🙂

@alex_p_roe @mjr

Ah, no its an abbreviation due to the character limit - hence the capitalised R... but thanks for the concern; appreciated

@mjr

Now corrected, thanks for the typo spot - much appreciated

@ChrisMayLA6 The #press never used to be so rabid. We really need new laws to prevent the use of the press as a smear machine. The way the #Guardian is organised should perhaps be applied to more of the media - on, offline and video. It’s too easy for very rich people to transform the media into #propaganda machines.

@alex_p_roe

Although some here would not hold the G up as an example of good news stewardship either....

@ChrisMayLA6

Equally, it does give some of us hope that we've got a chance of democracy; however long it takes to establish.
@ChrisMayLA6 I remember in 80s/90s when even many of the Tories considered ending up on Spitting Image as a badge of honour and a sign that they had "made it", as those puppets were *not* cheap to make..

@ChrisMayLA6

Sounds like what they did to Momdani in his run to become the mayor of New York city
