@johnefrancis The Senate IT department is scathingly negative about Mastodon. They do not think I should be using it myself.
David. Don't be fooled by imitators 🇨🇦@Paulatics Did they give a reason for disapproval? A security issue and is this specifically for Mastodon or all social media apps?

I think it's a case of having a lot on their plate and hosting/running/budgeting for a server is just one more thing on their docket.
