How the HELL can it be the case that in 2026, for a DIRECT #CrossBorderRail connection between two major European cities - Torino 🇮🇹 and Paris 🇫🇷 - it's not possible to work out why the hell there are half the normal number of trains, and on Saturday 6th June seemingly NONE - and this is like 75 days before departure

FFS 😡

@jon on the 6th of June Lyon-Perrache is closed for construction. I assume SNCF didn’t bother informing passengers about other services affected by diverted trains.
@smveerman But Freccia from Milano doesn't serve Perrache, only Part Dieu. And even if that's the reason and Part Dieu capacity is limited, why not divert via Bourg en Bresse - Macon instead?
@jon is Bourg en Bresse - Macon even open in weekends? It also seems like the high speed line between Lyon and Valence that weekend has limited capacity. It looks like SNCF painted themselves in a corner…
@smveerman It assume it is, because the timings of TGVs on regular weekends Paris - Macon Loché TGV - Chambéry are precisely the same as on weekdays. I think the line is open, just they can't be arsed running any TERs on it on weekends between Macon and Bourg en Bresse.
