My local grocery store just installed an 🥑 ripeness scanner in the produce aisle.

A bunch of us just stared at it and circled it with our carts like it was the glossy slab appearing amidst the chimps in 2001 Space Odyssey

@kbm0 @AnnaAnthro 1-in-12 males are red/green colourblind... I half-joked I would have a meet-cute asking a lady how ripe these bananas are at the grocery store.

... this could be QUITE useful from an a11y angle.
