@gary_alderson I'm watching the no-till/no-dig movements with interest.
In my mind controlling weeds by mechanical means, around the actual crop, is better than the options (which are mostly chemical). OTOH a lot of wine farmers just leave the space between the rows as a wildflower strip now and that also works for a few years at least. Then when it gets out of hand tilling once resets it.
