Edit: These are allegations and there's a state of the instance coming up. I'd err on the side of caution and migrate early, or at least back everything up, because losing an account here kind of sucks.

If you're on mstdn.ca, I would save my list of follows/followers immediately and think about moving. The owner is getting sued for over 300K by his community league. @the5thColumnist @angela_underscore @mayintoronto Does it require a white guy to be on national news for fraud when more of you white guys actually start even trying to believe me? Chad traumatized my Mom on a BS cop violence on our home call. The cops came here because of a fucking lying white strangers guy. Many of you defended him & were nasty to me. I never lied. Chad lied a lot though.

I am not very computer savvy. I joined Mastodon without doing a background check on all the instances and their connections. None of the guidance said to do that, the things that I read said to pick an instance that matches your interests. I was interested in a Canadian-themed instance and I randomly picked one and joined it.
