The #KhatynMassacre in #Belarus was on #ThisDayInHistory in 1943, when mostly #Ukrainian collaborators in #SchutzmannschaftBattalion118, with help from the #SSSonderbataillonDirlewanger, killed nearly all the 157 inhabitants of the small village #Khatyn, many of them burnt alive.

@LiamOMaraIV Ukraine from my understanding actually split three ways during WWII so far as partisan activity goes. One faction fought on Hitler's side against Stalin (and did Nazi things), another fought on Stalin's side against Hitler, and a third fought both Hitler and Stalin.
