@bich another big factor in youth with shitty teeth: malnutrition. It pays back many years down the road, but it's a factor. So, next they'll cut food stamps more so kids and young adults have to live on whatever they can afford at the dollar store.

I grew up on well water at home, but at least the stuff at school was fluoridated.

@bich “In just eight years after fluoridation ended in 2011, the need for intravenous antibiotic therapy by children to avoid death by infection rose 700 per cent at the Alberta Children’s Hospital.”

Calgary's plan to reintroduce fluoride into drinking water pushed back to 2025

The City of Calgary’s plan to reintroduce fluoride back into the drinking water supply has been delayed again – and is now set to be ready by 2025.

@bich Don't worry. Republicans don't want Medicaid to exist, ether.
@bich Tooth decay and gum disease are directly linked to heart disease. This is another form of killing off the vulnerable.

@bich yup. I foolishly assumed our drinking water had fluoride in it, since we live in Olympia area of Washington. But no. Apparently not.

All 3 of my kids had huge dental issues costing me over $15,000. It's wild. I grew up in the 80s with fluoride in the water and never had a single cavity until I was like 42

@bich That's easily fixed by eliminating Medicaid dental coverage. The maha lunatics don't care about the harm they cause.
