Sea ice extent in the southeast Bering Sea is near historic high levels. NWS Alaska Sea Ice Program analysis shows high concentration ice to the northeast shore of Unimak Island, west of Cold Bay. Since 1970, only 2012 and 1976 were close to having ice so far southwest. #akwx #weather #SeaIce
