10 years ago I read NEVADA by Imogen Binnie, and it blew my mind. I'd never read anything like it before.

I've been afraid to re-read it, because it might break open my brain again (in the good way). But with my 10 yr anniversary, why not?

NEVADA follows 2 trans women. One who came out a few years ago, and one still deep in closet. At the time the story of the closeted trans woman just resonanted with me.
I'm afraid that reading about the post transition one might make me realise Things. 🀣🀣
@ebel I sometimes feel like I need to turn in my trans card, because I tried to read Nevada, but couldn't even finish it. My 9 year anniversary is coming up in a couple of weeks, and I wonder if maybe I should give it another go?
@ada nothing wrong with that. There's lots of trans things I just shake my head at. πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
@ada course maybe just where I was then at the time made a bit impact
@ebel Detransition, Baby is probably my Nevada equivalent. The one that had a lasting impact on me. I read it well in to transition, and saw a lot of my own experiences and anxieties mirrored in Reese
@ada I started reading that about 6 months into my transition. But I got a bit freaked out about detransitioning of stuff. So I thought I shouldn't try the book for a few yearsπŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜
