Today Iran launched the longest range ballistic missile ever used in open warfare by (unsuccessfully) attacking Diego Garcia 4000km away in the Indian Ocean.

They also said they were open to attack tourist and other non military places.

That would put Paris, Rome, Athens, Berlin, Dehli, Kyiv, and myriad other places in range.

The Shahed drone has a nominal range of 2500 km. That's already enough to put Vienna and Warsaw in range, along with everything east and south of there.

Launched from Russia, it reaches Barcelona, almost all of France and Britain.

I suspect the max range is all fuel, no payload. But popping off just a kilogram of explosives in central Vienna would sure catch people's attention.
