#USC admin has been fighting them and foot-dragging, of course, and even joined with the likes of #SpaceX and #Amazon calling the #NLRB illegal!! dirty

To block a union that would represent 2,500 faculty members, the private university echoed a corporate argument.

@inquiline having recently gone through a unionization process and contract negotiation at a private college, I can attest that is an excellent way to learn just how outright malignant an administration can be, for really very little reason at all.

It will backstab, lie, threaten precarious students and faculty members for leverage, drag its feet, and then after negotiations have concluded it will have the gall to say that "tensions have been high" and "we need to heal our community" without ever making so much as a private apology.

I say "it" because these administrations as individual-subsuming institutions have absolutely reached the "inhuman; undying; uncaring" stage of existence, what I'm stated to call "the flip side of the necropolitical coin."

@tiotasram

one "good" thing about admin here is that no one is under any illusion that they're anything but evil, vicious, vindictive, retaliatory, etc. they'd never say "we need to heal" and they'd certainly never, ever admit fault let alone apologize. this all being said, they still find new unanticipated lows to sink to fairly regularly 😬

(there's a new pres right now and i want to give him benefit of doubt but i am pretty damn sure he knows which side his bread is buttered on)
