As expected, four-star safety Gavin Williams from Damien High School in La Verne has committed to USC.

Williams also considered Notre Dame, UCLA and Washington. He is the No. 6 safety in the nation for the Class of 2027 according to 247.

Pete Carroll spoke at the USC Business School graduation ceremony Friday at the Coliseum.

He said “always compete” multiple times during the speech.

• More inspring, is this below. I can still remember the first time I heard the USC alma mater with a vocalist at a Homecoming game. It was magical.

And this version is just as memorable from Thursday’s graduation with USC president Beong-Soo Kim on cello and Gustavo Dudamel of the L.A. Philharmonic conducting.

This is horrific and a massive breach of ethics where it concerns consent.

The University of Southern California (#USC) and University of California, San Diego (#UCSD) have millions of dollars in contracts to sell bodies donated for scientific research to the #Navy who gave them to the #IDF. (Our tax dollars at work.)

Yes, the IDF. Easier to know how to kill #Palestinian kids if you take aim at some #American corpses first, I guess.

Both universities have said they plan on continuing the program. Maybe rethink your plans to donate your body to science, if that was on your agenda.

USC Morning Buzz: It’s Always Good When Former Players Speak Out

Most former USC players are not happy with the cancellation of the Notre Dame series.

Among those who have spoken out is radio host Sean Salisbury: “Both universities should be ashamed of themselves. I don’t care whose fault it is. I’m not cutting my university any slack on this. We should never have been to this point.”

That’s a much stronger take than another former USC QB (Matt Leinart).

• The Sparks announced they will honor former USC basketball player Lisa Leslie with a statue outside Crypto.com arena It will be unveiled Sept. 20.

• Here is the rest of my offensive depth chart. There could still be some movement in training camp or flipping of positions but these are the core players.
