I don't know where I saw this yesterday, but #YouKnowWhatGripesMyAss?

Why do North Americans call a beef burger a "burger" but, even if it's the exact same ingredients and you just swap the beef patty for a breaded or grilled chicken breast, suddenly it's a "sandwich"?! (Same with fish)

WHY?! IT'S ON A BURGER BUN... IT'S A CHICKEN BURGER! 😠

It's a sandwich in the same way that a cheeseburger is a sandwich too, then: it's food between two pieces of bread.

Judge Yuri has ruled! 👩🏻‍⚖️

@Yuriel IMO a burger has to have ground meat/meat substitute, so a fish or chicken patty doesn't count as it's not ground up

@ldottxt @Yuriel YES!

Like the bacon ranch chicken burger I like from Wendy's it's basically a round breaded bit of chicken.

And since I've never seen a round slice of chicken on a chicken, I'm gonna assume it's processed.😂

@retrosponge @Yuriel yep, the processed breaded crap counts as a chicken burger, but if it's a chunk of actual chicken (breaded or no) it's a sandwich

@ldottxt @Yuriel Yeah, as I said, if it's a whole-ass chicken breast, then no, it's not a burger.

It's a chicken sandwich.

A filet of fish is a fish sandwich.
