Vertical Mouse Update: It's fine. I got used to it in about four minutes. If you've been considering getting one but are worried it will feel too weird, it will not

This is the vertical mouse I bought. Not saying it's the best one you could possibly buy, just that for me it's been fine

@jalefkowit Wave your mouse hand in the air like ya just don't care.

Was wondering about those.

@jalefkowit I used the Anker vertical mouse, wired version - was very happy with it but I prefer the Elegoo Huge trackball now.

@jackeric I had one of those too. It was the cheapest mouse I owned, but ended up being one of my favorites.

Well, it was a favorite up until the time the rubberized surface turned into tar like they're wont to do.

Like you though, I ultimately settled on a trackball as a change of pace instead of a vertical mouse. I currently use an angled Elecom trackball.

Im using the same one, and im surprised that I have no issues when playing fps games lol.
@jalefkowit I have a lift as well. My wrists thanked me in the first few minutes and I couldn't be happier!

@jalefkowit former physical therapist here... one word of caution about a vertical mouse. It gives your wrist and hand a break, but they're harder on your neck and shoulder, especially if you're doing precision work.

You can drive a conventional mouse entirely with your hand without any shoulder movement. You can still rely mostly on hand movements with a vertical mouse, but you're more likely to activate shoulder muscles too. For many people a vertical mouse is good for a change of pace, but might not be a permanent replacement.
