6:15AM: 33F, mostly cloudy.

How is the weather continuing to be crap? Let me count the ways....

Another couple inches overnight and we're under a winter storm advisory until 7PM tonight. Then another winter storm watch 1-7PM on Saturday.

Topped off with a special weather statement that basically says all snow hell can break loose at any time this weekend.

@SilverSalmonAK after Coffee and a homemade bagel from a friend I’ll shovel again. I took Sitka Conservation Society sticker and added it to my shovel. My only concern about all this is the visibility and the other drivers. I heard yesterday it was slick out by the cruise ship dock area that stretch of road. So yeah

@Pepper The problem on the main roads is that they don't put down gravel or ice melt after they plow. So the snow is gone, but the base layer of ice is still there. Then the side roads, that aren't plowed, just go to slush, then freeze and yeah - it's an awful mess.

@SilverSalmonAK well some equipment broke down and city had to order parts for it. Hence the city can only do so much. But the main roads that’s State not sure what there excuse is. New pot holes at the roundabout and Katlian as well. Over at Searhc that entrance from the main road by sealing cove as well.

@SilverSalmonAK when you enter that main road to Searhc it’s at the beginning but as you go down the main road to Searhc it wasn’t that great of shape in terms of it being plowed. Hopefully they did a better job. I’m assuming the road is plowed on the bridge. Cause that was my concern cause I had to take my mom to her appointment yesterday.
Sometime soon the old boys dorm is going to be taken down
