I just got fed up with a tool and quick wrote and published a replacement tool. Enjoy!

This lets me install .deb files off the internet without typing any extra commands.

It is timely because microsoft, canonical, google, etc. are all going the other direction...

Android in particular is trying to lock down to prevent scammers, but at the expense of "power users..."

There is an element of power-grab in this dynamic.
