the technology has really advanced, watching one of these I didn't see any "wtf" moments in terms of ghastly duplicated limbs or twisted faces. everything looks smooth and realistic as long as you ignore the nonsense in what they are doing (repetitive motions in a grimy tenement being the theme).

But of course it's entirely a fake disneyland historical cinematic view. watch silent films if you want to see NY in that era. it's still staged but at least it's real people in real places
