#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

Ok a second episode since I don't work this afternoon.

I might have to watch a third one.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

That has to be one of the most brutal Worf-Effect in the history of tv shows...

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

Shekov's Da Vinci ?

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

Fifteen borg vessels... talk about overkill !

A single ship should be more than enough to manage Voyager, given what that one borg cube did at Wolf 359.

Let's be generous and say they really want to make sure Voyager don't try to flee... I think even 3 borg cube would be overkill.

Fifteen!! That's just ludicrous.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

Yeah ok... that makes more sense. They are not here for Voyager and they don't have time for it at the moment. They still took the time for a scan.

The number of borg cube is still indicative tough. Whatever the Borgs are busy with... Voyager don't want to get involved. (They still will but, they don't want to.)

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

Kathryn making an impression of Picard is very funny. Even more so that she doesn't do it on purpose.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

"Today I can't imagine a day without you."

Really feeding those Kathryn/Chakotay shippers, aren't they?

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

"Someone more powerful than the Borg. It's difficult to imagine."

Really? I mean you know Q personally.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

The interior of the derelict borg cube as a very "haunted house" vibe.

It's effective though.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

The idea of a teleporter skeleton lock is not pleasing.

I'm not going to elaborate further.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

The alien design is... interesting. I don't like that it is naked though. It feels "dehumanizing" for lake of a better word.

The 3D is old, but not the worst. Did this show got a remaster ?

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

Way to put Picard's "the borg are pure evil" in perspective.

The borg at least want to assimilate you and doesn't even understand it's a bad thing.

Those alien want to genocide you.

Like both are bad, but yeah... The borg have nothing on those aliens in term of evil.

But in a sens it feels like a response from the writer of Voyagers to the writers of TNG, and it feels like they are saying "Ok Borg are bad but I'll show you true evil!"

And I'm not sure this is a good way to look at the borg.

Still, the borg will stay a big antagonist for Voyager through the rest of the show, so it's probably fine.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

I love that even in the worst situation the EMH find ways to be visibly pleased with himself, without him actually being oblivious to the gravity of the situation.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

Imagine Voyager don't get here when it did.

The Borgs are destroyed, then those aliens continue to destroy everything in the galaxy, and the federation is absolutely not prepared to face this threat. Neither is the Dominion.

I'll bet Voyager will close the door to the invasion, which means ts couldn't be done if Voyager wasn't around at the right time.

Which is kinda ludicrous of a coincidence.

(which also means that in Across the Unknown, if you get home early, the galaxy is doomed...)

I don't like when galaxy ending threat can be dealt with only because of an incredible coincidence. It makes the world of the fiction so fragile...

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

Chekov's Da Vinci fired.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

I don't know about that Janeway...

What if they find a way to assimilate the evil aliens?

I'm not objecting to a trade with the borg here but what you're proposing seems like it could back fire spectacularly.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

Oh no not the scorpion allegory...

It a stupid story.

Of course here the Borg will sting given an occasion, but not if they are destroyed in the process.

The idea that it would be better for the Borg to assimilate the unnamed aliens would be good for the delta quadrant though... I don't know Kathryn. They'll probably use them against the quadrant. Best case scenario they decide they don't want those evil aliens as part of the collective because they are to aggressive, but I wouldn't bet on that.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

Ah, the drama!!

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

I knew I would have to watch one more episode.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

I believe this deal with the Borg is one of the most controversial decision Kathryn takes along the journey of the Voyager.

Watching another episode I said the show take the side of Kathryn most of the time. This could be one time she is called out on her radical willingness to protect her crew and get it home. But depending on how this plays out, I think Kathryn will be vindicated.

Even if there is a bit of "see, you nearly got too far here", she'll probably get the best outcome possible in her situation.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

Ah! At last we meet, Seven of Nine.

#StarTrek #StarTrekVoyager

"How did you..."
"We are Borg"

XD You gotta love the confidence.
