Hey @eurekasven7, thanks for the follow request! Unfortunately there's not enough vibe on your profile to check, so...

If you could bring back one fashion trend of a bygone time, and make it popular again (and well into the future), what would it be?

I'd bring back the 80s punk trend of wearing dramatically mismatched clothingβ€”especially textures, colors, and patterns. I already kinda do this with cargo jeans and fluffy pink sweaters, or sparkly heart earrings and steel spiked cuffs.

@alice @eurekasven7 CAPES! We need more capes and flowy fashion for guys, I don't care what Edna says about them!
@FilthyShrooms @alice @eurekasven7 thinking about one of my friends who spent a year as a visiting professor at MIT and, when asked in a reddit AMA about "what surprised you the most about MIT?" responded "the number of students wearing capes. Why are there so many students wearing capes?"

@dan that was my experience in Mensa. Lots of capes.

@alice @FilthyShrooms @eurekasven7 wow, one of my friends just told me that whenever it rains their mailperson wears a USPS mail cape which apparently is an official uniform option!

Letter Carrier Rain Cape

One size fits all USPS accessory with Eagle logo and reflective tape. Attaches to coat or worn separately for safety. Shop now to stay visible and compliant!

@alice @dan I'm not sure which is more surprising: that US postal carriers have to buy their own uniforms, that the prices are that ridiculous, or that anyone willing to spend that much money can buy an official USPS cape!

(But really, why am I surprised. The answer to all these things is capitalism. Gotta run that postal service like a for-profit business!)

@alice @dan @FilthyShrooms @eurekasven7 Have you seen the price of bedding these days?!

@mayintoronto
No, I haven't. My most expensive hammock was like US$80.
