I was on national tv yesterday 😂

Why you might ask, well... We had municipal elections yesterday, and the place where I work was also a polling station. I work in a very big sport and culture hall for youth. So to motivate young people to vote, and to show the voters what kind of things we do, we organised a lot of fun activities. Among which pole dance of course✨ Apparently the media though the media the combination of "place for young people", voting and pole dance was very interesting. So they interviewed us for local tv. And my fragment made it to this show called Lubach which is a satirical new show I guess. And he basically just made a joke about my remark that pole dance and voting are not directly linked.

I had mixed feelings about it. Because they asked me multiple questions but only put one thing in the regional show, about the link between voting and pole dance. It also seemed like I was just there doing a show all day to attract people to vote. Which was not at all the case. But now I think it's quite cool and funny. It just goes to show that getting your message across on (social) media is really hard. And there is no such thing as bad publicity right🤷🏻‍♀️

@TheArtisticPoledancer Pole and climbing really go well together. I love the idea to have a location that teaches both. 😊
The last interview I gave regarding pole was cut out completely. 😑
The only part that remained was a small clip of me doing one trick too many upside down while the spinning pole came to a rest. I pushed my self off the ground to get spinning again while the narrator comments:
"... of course not everything works out as intended."
I was mortified.
Yes, I teach both there, and we have so much more! Calisthenics, basketball and even a music studio.
Wow that is actually really mean🥲. Sorry that happened to you
